April 8, 9 & 10. (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday). General Course.
On this course you can work on your own project. Bring that house you haven’t finished or need to electrify, or the extension you have been planning. You can construct a room box to learn woodworking skills and make furniture from plans and materials that I have here. Classes have only six students, so I have time to show you the power tools and help with your project. No previous experience is needed: you will be surprised at what you can achieve in three days. Cost: £125. (Full).

July 8, 9 & 10. (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday). Philippa Todd: Tudor Banquet.
Philippa plans an extravagant spread of authentic Tudor foods, ranging from meat roasting on the spit, food preparation scenes and completed Tudor dishes both savoury and sweet. There will be some vegetables, gilded marzipan, fish, dressed swan and possibly boar’s head. Cost: £150. Cost of materials: about £12, payable to Philippa on the course. (2 places).

September 2, 3 & 4. (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) Dave Hurley: 16th Century Bed
Some students on last year’s course persuaded Dave to run this and pre-booked. I am not sure how many will go firm or what it will cost for materials, but get on the waiting list if interested. Cost: £150.

October 21, 22 & 23. (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) Diane Harfield: Cold porcelain.
Diane has many new cutters for flowers, butterflies, Christmas decorations, papercraft, and for use as carving on furniture, fireplaces and wall hangings. Come and try them out and enjoy Diane’s superb teaching skills. Cost £150. Cost of materials about £10, payable on the course. (4 places)

November 4, 5 & 6. (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) Sue Simpson: Gamekeepers’s cottage in 1/24th scale. This delightful two-story cottage is full of detail and you’ll learn how to make bricks, stone, plaster, roof tiles or slates, peeling plaster, water trough, glowing cooking range, dead pheasants and how to light your cottage. There is a four inch garden space on two sides for extra interest..
